To add high resolution images to your listing, you need to log in to your TakeABreak account at www.takeabreak.com.au/manage/listings.aspx, click on Images under Property from the left menu. If you have more than one property select the property using the pull-down menu at the top of the page. Scroll down to the section that says 'Your hi-res promotional images library'.

1. Click 'Browse' and this will show you files saved on your computer.
2. Search for and select the photo you wish to add and click OK (make sure the photo is of type JPEG).
3. Add a description e.g. view from verandah. (Check your spelling because you can't change it afterwards!)
4. Click 'Add image'.
Depending on your internet connection, and the size of the photo, this can take a little while. The page should re-load showing a small version (thumbnail) of your photo.
5. Repeat for each photo and click Save at the bottom of the page when you are finished.

What are high resolution promotional images?

Promotional images are high resolution images that can be used for print publication or other high resolution promotional purposes such as reviews. High resolution images WILL NOT be displayed on your listing, they are available for our marketing department to use when promoting your property.

You can only upload images that are .png, .tif, .bmp, .jpg or .jpeg format. Your image size must be at least 1800px in the longest dimension and must be at least 300dpi.

A good guide is to upload a picture taken directly from your camera without resizing. Generally the bigger the file size the larger the photo and generally higher resolution so images that are 1-2MB in size is a good starting point.

If you upload a smaller image or one with a lower resolution it will be rejected. Landscape images (wider than they are tall) work best and you should crop and size your image to create the best impact.

Points to remember

* Images must be .png, .tif, .bmp, .jpg or .jpeg format

* Images must be at least 1800 pixels in the longest dimension and at least 300 dpi

* You must own the copyright to any image you upload or have permission from the copyright holder.

* You are limited to a maximum of 3 promotional images.

* A thumbnail of your image that is 115 pixels wide will also be created.  You can click on this to view the full image

* Don't forget to enter a description for each image of your property and please check spelling and grammar before saving captions, as they are difficult to correct later

Troubleshooting

* If you are having difficulty uploading images, check the file type (this needs to be .png, .tif, .bmp, .jpg or .jpeg, if your image is saved in another file type you will need to re-save it into one of these types).

* Also check that the image meets the minimum size requirement, smaller or low resolution images will be rejected. You will receive the error message "Sorry, the image you tried to upload was too small, promotional images must be at least 1800 pixels in the longest dimension. Your image was only 300 x 250 pixels. Please try again with a larger image"

* Make sure that you click on the property name which should be the second name in the list. If the tabs in the window are yellow you are in the account details section. Close this window and double click on the property name.

* Double clicking doesn't work? Hold your mouse over the property name and click on the edit (pencil) icon that appears.
